iroi LLC is a Tokyo software company that plans, develops, and operates educational services for families and children. Our first product is Huu Shogi, an educational shogi (Japanese chess) app for preschoolers and elementary schoolers.

The founder spent more than 20 years as a lead architect on financial systems and B2B/B2C SaaS products, where reliability is non-negotiable. Huu Shogi began at home: while teaching shogi to the founder's own child came the feeling that there had to be a way of learning that was more fun and easier to keep up.

We put those years of engineering craft into children's moments of "I did it!". Precisely because childhood is now inseparable from the digital world, we carefully build tools that expand what children can do, and grow services that families can trust for years.
